Does this mean they are going to switch entirely to the "zip ties", only use the ties when doing a head replacement?

I wonder how the neck strings could be considered un-durable? I've had my Kirsten for 12 years and she is doing great with them! I do remember one time when I hadn't had her for very long, we did untie the strings and tighten them.

I was always careful with my toys as a child, and I still am careful with my stuff now. I just can't see how the strings would not last. They can't rot, can they?

Anyway, thanks for sharing AG's response.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's exactly what happened to my Sam's. He's about 15 years old, but when I went to tighten his neck string because it was very loose, it broke in half and pulled out.

I probably was trying to tighten too tight, but it still would have to have had broken down some to just snap when I pulled it like that.
